Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has unveiled the book titled “Sheikh Mujib: A Nation's Father” according to officials concerned.
The book has been edited by Dr Nasreen Ahmad, former pro-vice chancellor of Dhaka University.
The PM unveiled the book at a pogramme in her official residence Gonobhaban Monday morning when expatriates welfare and overseas employment minister Imran Ahmad MP was present.
EWOE ministry’s secretary Dr Ahmed Munirus Saleheen and editor of the book were also present at Gonobhaban.
Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ( 17 March 1920 – 15 August 1975) was a Bangladeshi politician and statesman. He is called the "Father of the Nation" in Bangladesh.
He served as the first President of Bangladesh and later as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 17 April 1971 until his assassination on 15 August 1975. He is considered to be the driving force behind the independence of Bangladesh.
