Bangladesh Nari Sramik Kendra (BNSK) on Thursday organized a webinar on Fairer Faster Justice Orientation and Pictorial Training Opening with TTC and DEMO officials, PRPKAS FLM partners and migrant organization.
Dr Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Secretary to Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment inaugurated the virtual programme as the Chief Guest.
Dr. Engr. Sakhawat Ali, Director, Training Operation, BMET, Mr Gerry Fox, Team Leader, PROKAS addressed as Special Guest in the event.
Mr Masud Rana, Senior Statistical Officer, BMET oriented online case Management among 71 TTC and 46 DEMO officials.
PROKAS FLM partner’s representatives were attended in the online event. Ms Shirin Lira, Senior IBP Manager and Social and Inclusion Adviser, PROKAS, British Council moderated the event. Ms Sumaiya Islam, Executive Director, BNSK and Dr. Khaleda Muheb presented Pictorial among the participants.
Dr Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Secretary to Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment retreated that TTC and DEMO officials have been playing a pivotal role for increasing mass awareness and capacity building in migration arena.
The role of the development partners, CSO, NGOs, Recruiting’s Agencies cooperation’s is essential for safe and secured migration, he said.
He emphasized paradigm ship with development partners, CSO, NGOs, and Recruiting’s Agencies for safe, orderly and regular migration and pointed Honorable Prime Ministers guidelines and directions regarding safe migration and gave importance on taking pre-decision rather than pre-training before migration.
He told that migrant could get knowledge and responsibilities during their migration process through pictorial. He thanked BNSK and PROKAS, British Council for organizing the important event and requested to play transparent and responsible role for TTCs/DEMO/BMET and concern alliance of migrants for ensuring safe migration.
Mr. Jerry Fox, Team Leader, PROKAS, British Council told that, migrant workers at home and abroad has been suffering various constraints like not getting salary during Covid19, exploiting by middle man along with others problems. To increase mass awareness, ensure support services and relevant activities could enhance safe and transparent migration.
PROKAS FLM partners and others migration organization representatives described their case management experience and suggested to initiate more effective and earliest mechanism to solve the submitted cases at BMET/DEMOs.
Dr. Engr. Sakhawat Ali, Director, Training Operation, BMET concluded the event with emphasized pictorial based intervention at TTC/DEMO for mass awareness increase among aspirant migrants.
