Bdesh Jobs, a Mobile App and Job Portal platform dedicated for overseas job seekers and recruitment agents has been launched today at a local hotel.
"Bdesh Jobs" is a joint initiative of UN body IOM (International Organization for Migration) and Bdjobs.com, the leading job portal in the country.
The objective of the new platform is to provide reliable information on job opportunities for Bangladeshi workers in different overseas countries. The platform will also help authorized recruitment agencies to get quick access to information of skilled workers. The platform can only be used by government approved authorized recruitment agencies.
In the launching program, Fahim Mashroor, CEO of Bdjobs.com said that the new platform will contribute in making the overseas recruitment sector more transparent and efficient. IOM Deputy Head of Mission Dimanche Sharon said that this initiative is expected to help a great deal to the job seekers looking for reliable and safe ways to go abroad for a descent living.
Joint Secretary of Ministry of Overseas Employment and Welfare Nasrin Jahan said that government is very committed to bring discipline in the overseas recruitment sector. The ministry is trying its best to minimize expense of foreign recruitment. It is also vigilant so that incidents of deception and cheating by unscrupulous recruitment agents are strictly controlled. BMET Director General Salim Reza said that his organization is committed to help this new platform and any such initiatives that help the genuine recruiters find out skilled workforce in the most efficient way.
The program was also attended by BAIRA Secretary General Shamim Ahmed Chowdhury Noman.
